Staff Attorney for Voter Protection and Immigrant Justice
As a longtime social justice advocate over more than two decades, Eileen has worked for numerous organizations as labor and community organizer, campaign director, and non-profit executive, among other roles. As a public interest attorney and organizer, she has experience in a variety of issue areas and on projects and campaigns around the country, including efforts to address workers’ and immigrants’ rights, health care access, LGBTQ rights, and housing rights and equitable development. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of API Equality-LA and began a solo law practice taking on mostly immigration cases and pro bono cases in immigrant communities of color.
Born and raised in New York by Chinese immigrant parents, Eileen identifies as a second generation Asian American queer woman of color and is a graduate of Columbia University with a BA in Philosophy (CC ’93). She earned her JD at Loyola Law School (‘13) in her adoptive home of Los Angeles and is a member of the State Bar of California.
