“We who believe in Freedom
shall not rest…”

These words, sung by Sweet Honey in the Rock rang true, as Advancement Project – a high impact racial justice and civil rights action tank - celebrated its 10th Anniversary, in 2009. In just 10 short years, Advancement Project has become a premier civil rights organization, tackling the most difficult racial justice and civil rights issues, including the 2000 Florida voting rights violations and the post-Katrina housing crisis.

Although our country has made extraordinary gains with the election of the first African-American President and appointments of the first African-American U.S. Attorney General and first Latina Supreme Court Justice, we are ever mindful of the work yet to be done. The economic downturn has exacerbated the inequities faced by communities of color making Advancement Project’s work especially important in these times.

Please help us continue this momentum into our second decade. There are numerous ways that you can join the movement for justice: sign up for Advancement Project's newsletters, E-zine, and alerts; provide pro bono legal service; follow Advancement Project on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube; and/or make a monetary contribution.
